THE GRAY SKINNY: Gray will be expected to be a scorer and defender for the Aggies in 2008…Can play both the middle and right side hitter positions…Gray is described as a quick and agile player who is light on her feet…She is coming off of a career season in which she was one of the Aggies top scorers…Her left-handed strike from the right side makes her a difficult player to defend…Has traditionally been one of the best blockers in the MEAC…She has averaged 0.86 blocks per game over her career…She has 284 blocks for her career…She also has averaged 1.82 kills per game…She is the leading returner in kills per game…She is also the leading returner in attacks for the Aggies…An improvement on last year’s season could net her all-conference honors.

2007: Played in 115 games over 34 matches, making 30 starts…Led the team in total points with 368…Finished the season second on the team in kills per game, total attacks and blocks per game….Had at least one block in every match except two…Her .188 hitting percentage was third on the team…Had double figure kills in 15 different matches, which topped a career high…Had a stretch of seven straight matches in which she recorded double figure kills…Set a new career-high in kills on Sept. 14 with 15 in a 3-2 loss to UNC Wilmington…Gray also had five blocks in the match…She topped that career high on Nov. 16 when she had 18 kills in a 3-1 loss to Delaware State in the MEAC Tournament played in Hampton, Va…Recorded 13 kills and had a .400 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win at S.C. State on Sept. 25…Slammed down 17 kills and had a .394 hitting percentage in a straight set loss to Providence on Sept. 29…Made 13 kills and had seven blocks in a 3-2 loss to Air Force on Sept. 8…Recorded 13 kills and had seven blocks in a 3-1 loss to Bethune-Cookman on Oct. 12.

2006: Had a career year as sophomore…Played in 105 games over 31 matches, making 30 starts…Ranked second on the team in hitting percentage (.239) and 12th in the MEAC…Ranked second on the team in blocks per game and fifth in the MEAC…Her 77 block assists were the second most in the conference behind teammate Avignon Williams…Had a career best 190 kills, .239 hitting percentage and 21 solo blocks…Had at least one block in all but two matches during the season…Reached double figures in kills seven times…Opened the season with a .294 hitting percentage over the first seven matches of the season…Had a stretch of three straight games in which she recorded double-figure kills…Had 12 kills and six blocks (three of them solo) in a 3-1 loss to Delaware State on Oct. 14 in the MEA Roundup at Hampton University…The next day, recorded a career-high 13 kills and had six blocks in a 3-1 win over Howard…Her streak culminated with an 11-kill, four-block performance in a 3-1 win over Winston-Salem State…Recorded eight kills and a season-best seven blocks in a 3-1 win over Bethune-Cookman at the MEAC Tournament from Hampton University on Nov. 17…Also had seven blocks in a 3-1 loss at Florida A&M in Tallahassee on Sept. 29.

2005: Played in 111 games in 39 matches…Made 17 starts…Averaged 0.71 kills and 0.89 blocks per game…Ranked 6th in the MEAC in blocks per game...Added 17 set assists and 16 digs…Tied for second on the team with 11 solo blocks…Posted three kills and four block assists in a 3-2 loss to UNC Wilmington on Sept. 3…Served two aces in a 3-0 loss to Chattanooga…Had three kills in a 3-0 victory at Hampton on Sept. 6…Hit .267 with six kills and added 3.0 total blocks in a 3-0 victory over Radford on Sept. 10…Had three kills, one ace, and 1.5 total blocks in a 3-1 victory over High Point on Sept. 13…Had three kills, one assist and one block assist in a 3-0 victory at Norfolk State on Sept. 22…Had seven kills in a 3-2 victory over Morgan State on Oct. 14…Had five kills and 2.5 total blocks in a 3-1 victory over Delaware State on Oct. 15…Had six kills in a 3-1 victory over Howard on Oct. 16…Killed all three attempts in a 3-0 victory over Gardner-Webb on Nov. 5…Had five kills and three block assists in a 3-0 victory over Savannah State on Nov. 11.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in track and in volleyball at Liverpool…Led her team in kills and blocks during junior and senior seasons…Selected First Team All-Conference in Volleyball her senior season…Also helped her 4x100-meter relay team break the school record.

PERSONAL: Full name is Aundia Chanel Gray...She is the daughter of LaDell and Jamar Gray...She has one sibling, Tiara...She was born on June 31, 1987...She is an elementary education who plans to be a private school principal after graduation...Her little sister is the biggest influence in her life because she is constant reminder to Gray that she must be a good role model.
