POSTGAME NOTES vs. MORGAN STATE

·          The Aggies have won six out of seven against Morgan State. The Aggies have won those six games by an average of 15 points.

·          Amber Bland scored 21 points on Saturday. It marked the 19th time in 43-game N.C. A&T career she has scored 20 or more points. The Aggies are 15-4 when Bland goes for 20 or more.

·          The Aggies shot 61.1 percent from the floor in the second half. The last time the Aggies shot 60 percent in half came during the 2004-2005 season against Morgan State when they 60.4 percent from the floor in the second half in a 113-82 win over the Bears.

·          Brittanie Taylor-James was 9-for-9 from the free throw line. It marked the fifth time in her career she has attempted more than four free throws in a game and been perfect from the line.

·          What always seems to get lost in Aggie victories is the all-around performance of Lamona Smalley. On Saturday, she had eight points, eight rebounds, five assists, five steals and was 4-for-5 from the field.

·          Taylor-James had 19 points in 19 minutes of action Saturday. Nancy Rembert had 15 points in 15 minutes.

·          The Aggies 97 points are the most points the Aggies have scored in the Patricia Cage-Bibbs era. Their 59 second-half points are the most they’ve scored in a half in the Bibbs era. Ninety-seven points are the most points the Aggies have scored since scoring 113 against the Bears in 2005.

·          The Aggies are 6-0 this season when they have a halftime lead. They are 8-0 when they shoot more free throws than their opponents. They are also 8-0 when they more points off of turnovers than their opponent and when they have more fastbreak points than their opponent.
