“I seriously didn’t come into this game thinking about 400 wins. What I thought about was our kids coming together and putting two halves together. We could not fall behind to this team early because they play so well on the offensive end.”

“I’m blessed to be in the business long enough to achieve this I’m glad to achieve this year at North Carolina A&T, and I’m thrilled this group of kids gave it to me.”

Bibbs on why she stayed at historically black colleges and universities
“It’s not that I haven’t had that opportunity. I’ve had several opportunities to work with the major schools. I know some coaches don’t like to do it, but I’ve always accepted a challenge of building a program. It’s never been about the money for me. It’s about giving kids who may not fit in those big places, a chance to play and be successful.”

Bibbs on her recruiting philosophy
“I’ve always recruited all over the United States and even internationally. I’ve been blessed to get some great kids, even kids right here in the state of North Carolina. I’ve basically gotten a lot of things I’ve wanted because I was willing to go after the things I’ve wanted. I want the same players all the rest of the schools want. And as long as I have assistant coaches around me who believe the same thing, then I don’t think there is any kid out there we can’t get here.”

“It feels good because every time she thinks about her 400^th win my name will be thrown in there. It was great because it wasn’t a team effort, it was a family effort. We all wanted to win this for her, so it was like a family coming together to do something special for a family member.”

“We have speed on our team. Coach Bibbs just wants to push up the court. The way she coaches it fits a lot of players on this team. It lets us create and use our speed to bother teams.”
