"I’m so proud of (Lamona)…She continues to get the big rebounds. She is scoring. Tonight she knocked down some free throws. I’m just happy to see her playing so well. She made the difference for us tonight. In the last five minutes, when she’s been competing all night, she had enough left to pull down some big, big rebounds for us."

Coach Bibbs on what the team missed with Smalley injured last season
"We missed performances like this with her out last season. Remember, when she went out she was leading the conference in rebounding, so what you missed the most is her ability to rebound the basketball. Plus, she is an intellectual player. She is a very intelligent basketball player. When you have player who knows the game and makes good decisions, it really hurts your team when they get injured."

Coach Bibbs on the final five minutes of the game
"UMES wasn’t going to quit. They fought hard tonight and played extremely well. What we wanted to do was make sure we kept them off the boards late because they’re great rebounding team as well. We just need to make sure during the last five minutes we had the right people in the game. We wanted Tweet at the point with Brittanie Taylor-James and Amber out on the wings. We felt like that was our best lineup at that point. Early on, Tweet didn’t do that well at the off-guard. She has tendency to get passive sometimes at the 2-position, so we put her back on the ball where she tends to be more aggressive."

"Amber can do anything on the floor she wants. It’s just a matter of when she wants to do it. We know she is a good jump shooter, but we need her to go to the basket more. She did that late and got us some high-percentage shots."

"I think Taryn came into tonight and gave us some big minutes. We need her to come through to help Tweet and Wudi at that point position. She can score the basketball, but if she comes in and runs our offense effectively, that will be huge for us come March."
