As An Aggie
Came into the season with not only the pressure of replacing all-time assists leader Shareka “Mia” Glover, but was also the only true point guard on the Aggies roster for much of the season…She took on all those challenges as a true freshman…Responded by being named MEAC Rookie of the Year...Became such a valuable part of the Aggies team, whenever she left the floor the Aggies offense didn’t function the same…Played a 40-minute game four times during the season and played more than 30 minutes in a game 23 times…Is well on pace to break Glover’s all-time assists record of 332 with 131 assists as a freshman…Scored in double figures in 22 out of the 30 games she played…Has tremendous quickness…Goes from one end of the floor to the other with the ball in her hand as fast as anyone in the country…Also showed the ability to penetrate to the basket and either score or get to the free throw line…Led the Aggies in free throw attempts with 172 free throws, 30 more than any other teammate…Also made more starts than any other freshman on the Aggies roster.

2006-2007: Became the first player in the history of the N.C. A&T women’s program to be named MEAC Rookie of the Year…Was also named second-team All-MEAC after averaging 14.1 points and 4.37 assists per game…Became the first Aggie freshman to lead the MEAC in assists…Ranked 78th nationally in assists…Ranked fourth in the league in scoring, seventh in the league in minutes (33.83) ninth in the league field goal percentage (.401), 12th in the league in steals (1.83), 11th in the league in 3-pointers made per game (1.17) and 14th in 3-point field goal percentage (.238)…In an almost unprecedented feat, earned MEAC Player of the Week honors as freshman after averaging 19.0 points, 4.0 assists and shooting a combined .538 from the floor for the week of Jan. 1-7…Cook’s recognition that week marked the third straight week an Aggie was named player of the week…Was also named MEAC Rookie of the Week twice…Her first honor came after she played her first career MEAC game and scored 18 points on 8-for-17 shooting, dished out seven assists and grabbed seven rebounds in a 74-61 win over S.C. State on Dec. 2…Her second recognition as rookie of the week came after she averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 assists and shot .786 from the line for the week of Dec. 18-25…Led the Aggies in assists 17 times, in rebounding three times and in scoring once…Scored 20 or more points five times…The Aggies were 4-1 when she scored 20 or more points…Recorded a season-high 25 points on 8-for-16 shooting, while grabbing five rebounds and dishing out five assists in a loss to Coppin State…Had 22 points, six rebounds and six assists in a 77-72 win over Florida A&M…Scored a 24 points, had five assists, five rebounds and was 9-for-15 from the floor and 5 of 9 from 3-point range in 74-59 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Jan. 6…Scored 23 points, grabbed eight rebounds, had four assists, played 38 minutes and was 8-for-18 from the floor in a 91-69 win over Hampton on Jan. 29…Had 17 points and dished out a season-best nine assists and had four rebounds in a 75-62 win over Bethune-Cookman on  Jan. 13...Scored 17 points and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in a win over Morgan State.    

High School Career
Attended Seventy-First High School where she played under head coach Tracie Taylor…Led the Falcons to two consecutive state championships in the state of North Carolina in 2003 and 2004…Was named the Most Outstanding Player in the 2004 state championship game…In 2006, was named the Mid-Southeastern Conference Player of the Year after averaging 15.0 points, 6.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals as a senior…Averaged 11.8 points, 4.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 4.0 steals during her career at Seventy-First…Led the Falcons to a 26-4 record as a senior as they advanced to the Eastern Regional playoffs…She made first-team All-State in Class 4A…Also was named All-Cape Fear All-Region honorable mention… Also ran track for the Falcons.
