Neely in AggieLand: Has the potential to develop into a powerful post player for the Aggies…Coaches are looking to her to add strength and additional post moves as she enters her sophomore season…Showed steady improvement as the season progressed, earning more playing time during the latter portion of the season…She scored 40 points, grabbed 35 rebounds and blocked four shots as a freshman.

2007-2008: Played in 26 games last season with one start…Averaged 1.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 6.9 minutes…She shot .317 from the floor and .350 from the free throw line…Her minutes increased as the season progressed…Averaged 5.5 minutes in eight games played in November and December…Over the last 13 games of the season, Averaged 9.5 minutes…She made her first career start against South Carolina in the Aggies opening round WNIT game…She played 24 minutes, scored two points and had five rebounds in the game…Had her best game of the season against Norfolk State on March 6…She scored a career-high nine points, had three rebounds and played 16 minutes in a win over the Spartans…She had three points and five rebounds in just eight minutes of action in a win at Bethune-Cookman.

Wake Field High School Career: Averaged 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds as a junior…Also averaged 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks while leading Wakefield to the Northern Region playoffs….Played 3 ½ varsity seasons under head coaches DeVaughn Drayton and Markus McKinney…Was a two-year first-team all-district performer, while also being named second-team all-region…Was also named to the all-defensive team…Also played softball and was a cheerleader. 

Personal: Full name is Brittane Nashe’ Neely…She is the daughter Kertrenia and Stephen Lynch…She has two siblings, Marquita and Stephen…She was born on September 11, 1989…She is a business management major who enjoys shopping, text messaging, wearing different styles of clothes and looking cute…She chose N.C. A&T because of the atmosphere, she loved the meaning of Aggie Pride and she liked the direction of the women’s basketball program…People are surprised that she loves to eat and can be quiet at times.
