Williams in AggieLand: Holds the distinction of being the only four-year senior on the squad…She is also the only player on the roster who has been on the team since head coach Patricia Cage-Bibbs arrived in 2005…Has seen her role change over her career…When she arrived she was expected to be a scorer for the Aggies…As she enters her final season at N.C. A&T, her role has turned into someone expected to rebound and defend…Her experience and familiarity with Bibbs’ defensive scheme is an asset…Williams has played 30 or more minutes 19 times…She has scored in double figures 19 times and has led the Aggies in scoring once…She has played in 90 games, the most of any other Aggie on the roster…Has made 40 starts in those 90 games…Over her career, she has scored 443 points, grabbed 240 times and dished out 69 assists with 101 steals… For her career, she is a .340 shooter from the field, .232 from the 3-point arc and .643 from the free throw line…Williams earned Team Rookie of the Year honors at the annual Athletics Banquet in 2005.

2007-2008: Played in 32 games with no starts…Averaged 1.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.3 steals per game…Shot .378 from the field, .143 from 3-point range and .600 from the free throw line…Her experience found her playing time in all but one game…Never played more than 20 minutes in any of those games…Scored seven points on 3-for-3 shooting in nine minutes against Virginia Tech on Dec. 5…Had six points on 4-for-4 shooting from the line in a win over Norfolk State on Dec. 1…During an ESPNU game, scored six points and had two steals in 16 minutes of action in a win over defending MEAC Champion Delaware State on Feb. 18. 

2006-2007: Played 30 games with 27 starts last season…Averaged 7.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 31.0 minutes and 1.8 steals per game…Ranked 13th in the conference in steals…Despite her 5-10 height, was second on the team in offensive rebounds per game with 2.4…Recorded five or more offensive rebounds five times during the season, only two other players on team had more games of five or more offensive rebounds…Registered 30 or more minutes of playing time 18 times…Recorded the first double-double of her career on Jan. 8 when she had 16 points and 10 rebounds on 6-for-10 shooting in a 87-73 win over Howard…Williams also had six offensive rebounds and seven steals in the game…Had a season-high 18 points and grabbed six rebounds against South Carolina on Nov. 17…Posted eight points and 10 rebounds in 39 minutes of play in a 74-59 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Jan. 6…Had 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals on 5-for-7 shooting in an 88-69 win over Morgan State on Feb. 19…Was 6-for-12 from the floor and had 13 points and six rebounds in a 73-63 win over Hampton Feb. 26.

2005-2006: Played in 28 games with 13 starts…Did not miss a start from Jan. 30 until the end of the season, which was March 7…It was a string of 11 straight starts…Averaged 5.6 points and 2.3 rebounds, while playing 16.9 minutes per game…Averaged 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in her 13 starts…Dished out 13 assists and 36 steals…Scored in double figures six times…Scored the first field goal of her career on Nov. 22 against the U.S. Naval Academy…Shot .310 from the floor and .690 from the free throw line…Scored a season-high 19 points on 6-for-16 shooting versus S.C. State on Nov. 19…Scored four points and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in a win at Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 11…Scored 12 points on 6-for-11 shooting, and had four steals at Morgan State on Feb. 20…Scored 11 points on 5-for-10 shooting in a MEAC Tournament loss to Bethune-Cookman on March 7.

Southern University Laboratory High School Career: Played at high school powerhouse Southern Laboratory under head coach Henry Combs for four years…She helped Southern Lab win three state championships in the state of Louisiana…Earned District MVP honors in 2005…Also named 2005 Offensive Player of the Year in the District…Had the highest GPA on the girls basketball team with a 3.7…Also played softball and volleyball in high school…Earned District MVP honors in softball.

Personal: Full name is Ahmad Rashad Williams…She is the daughter of Dorothy and Robert Williams, Jr…She has six siblings, Nathan, Pamela, Ronee’, Regina, Charles and Chris…She was born on July 23, 1987…She is a criminal justice major who enjoys lifting weights, playing video games, watching television, eating, shopping and making money…If Williams had her way in the world, there would be no violence…She is the niece of former Super Bowl MVP quarterback Doug Williams, the first African American quarterback to win a Super Bowl.
