2012-13 season as one of the Aggies seasoned veterans...Has an intense passion to
swim...Produced a top time in the CCSA...Named a scholar athlete in 2011.
2011-12 Season: Competed in eight meets...Primarily
swam in the breaststroke and IM events...Finished third in the 100-yard
breaststroke in 1:29.50 on Jan. 20 against Radford, which was the 11th
in the Top 16 times in the CCSA for that event...Placed fourth in the 200-yard IM
on Oct. 29 with a 3:27.26 time...Also had five fifth-place finishes on the
year...Miles posted a season-best 2:58.32 in the 200-yard IM on Oct. 21 against
Campbell...Posted a season-best 1:22.07 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the CCSA
Championships...Went from swimming the 200-yard breaststroke in 3:24.46 in the
beginning of the season to 3:06.03 by season's end.
2010-11 Season: Competed in four meets...Swam the
100-yard freestyle in 1:12.06 on Oct. 8 against Radford and Liberty for 10th
place...Finished the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:26.33 in the same meet for eight
place...Clocked in at 3:13.04 in the 200-yard IM on Oct. 15 against Campbell, and
finished the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:27.29 in the meet...Miles completed the
100-yard breaststroke in 1:26.41 and the 100-yard freestyle in 1:17.45 on Jan.
22 at the CCSA Duals...Posted a team-best 1:24.87 time in the 100-yard
breaststroke at the CCSA Championships.
High School: Named Female Athlete of The Year as a
senior...Participated in the NCHSA 2A state finals, where she swam the 100
meter breaststroke, the 50 meter free and the 200 free relay for the Durham
School of Arts....Was also named to the all-conference team from 2008-2010...Also
competed in soccer, track, cross country and cheerleading.
Personal: Full name is Aarin Kristin-Wyatt
Miles...She is the daughter of Angela and Van Miles and was born on Dec. 9, 1992...majors
in psychology major and plans to pursue a graduate degree and own her own
private practice after graduation... Is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority,
and is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee...Spent the summer
working at a girl scout camp teaching boating and swimming...Her other interests
include working with children...Her favorite book is Call of the Wild by
Jack London...Says the best thing about being a part of A&T Athletics is
being a part of a team and representing something that is more than herself.
