  JONES ADDS TO HIS ACCOLADES
 
  GREENSBORO, June 18, 2008 --  North Carolina A&T senior outfielder Jeremy Jones continues to collect accolades a month after his phenomenal career ended. Jones has been named All-Atlantic Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association. He also earned North Carolina Sports Information Association University Division All-State honors.     
NEWMAN'S OUTDOOR SEASON ENDS
GREENSBORO, June 12, 2008 --  Sophomore North Carolina A&T men's track and field sprinter Calesio Newman had his season come to an end Thursday when he did not qualify for the 200 meter semifinals at the 2008 NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships at Drake University. Newman had a phenomenal season where he ran a 10.18 in the 100 and 20.67 in the 200.    
AGGIE SOFTBALL PLAYERS EARN ALL-STATE HONORS
GREENSBORO, June 5, 2008 -- N. C. A&T softball pitcher Jennifer Luper (pictured) added another accomplishment to go along with her stellar 2008 debut season as she was named to the North Carolina Sports Information Association Division All-State Softball Team. Teammates Yahamma White and Lillian Bullock are also on the team.

Ewing was the only first-team honoree

--    Men's basketball players Austin Ewing and Steven Rush along with football players Oritz "Trey" Green and Davion Hemphill were named 2008 Arthur Ashe Jr., Sports Scholars by the Diverse: Issues in Higher Education publication. Ewing was the only Aggie to earn first-team honors.    
NEWMAN ADVANCES TO NCAA NATIONALS
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 31,  2008 --    North Carolina A&T track and field sophomore Calesio Newman qualified for the NCAA Nationals in the 200 meters with a fifth place finish Saturday at the 2008 NCAA East Regional held at Florida State University. Newman has a chance to earn an at-large bid to the nationals in the 100 meters.    
NEWMAN QUALIFIES FOR REGIONAL FINALS IN 100, 200
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., May 30,  2008
--    North Carolina A&T sophomore men's sprinter Calesio Newman qualified for 100 meter and 200 meter finals at the 2008 NCAA East Regional at Florida State University on Friday. Junior Tarrish Alexander finished sixth in the long jump and junior Lonnie Phifer had an eighth place finish in the shot put.
