AGGIE WOMEN EARN PRESEASON INVITE |

GREENSBORO, June
30, 2009 -- The
16-team field for the 2009 Preseason Women's National Invitational
Tournament was announced on Tuesday, and North Carolina A&T was
among the teams selected. The Aggies will open the tournament in
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m., when they face Marist.

GREAT SHOWING IN EUGENE
Smith among five Aggies to compete at U.S. Championships
EUGENE, Oregon, June
29, 2009 --
All-American senior Loreal Smith decided to put together one more
outstanding performance in an Aggies uniform. The Florida native made it
to the women's 100 meter hurdles finals of the 2009 U.S. Outdoor Track
and Field Championships over the weekend. In the process, she set a new
school record.

AGGIES ANNOUNCE 2009-10 NEWCOMERS
Aggies are coming off their third straight winning season in
the MEAC
GREENSBORO, June 24, 2009 -- The
North Carolina A&T men's basketball team will add four new names to
its roster for the 2009-10 season. Head coach Jerry Eaves has
announced the signings of DaMetrius Upchurch, Austin Witter,
Lawrence Smith and R.J. Buck.

SPRUIEL EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS FOR A SECOND TIME
Smith joins Spruiel as an All-American
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.,
June 13, 2009 --
Alexandria Spruiel and Loreal Smith made history Saturday afternoon at the NCAA
Division I Track and Field Championships. Spruiel finished sixth in
the women's 400 meter finals, while Smith finished seventh in the finals
of the women's 100 meter hurdles to earn All-American honors.

BEATTY IN MLB DRAFT
Beatty is a three-time first-team All-MEAC selection
GREENSBORO,
June 10, 2009 -- The St. Louis Cardinals selected North Carolina A&T junior
outfielder Christian "CJ" Beatty in the 26th round of the major
league baseball draft on Wednesday. Beatty was the 789th overall
selection on the second day of the draft.

FOLLOWS IN FATHER'S FOOTSTEPS
GREENSBORO,
June 8, 2009 --
Four North Carolina A&T track and field athletes are headed to the NCAA
Division I Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., June 10-13. Junior
triple jumper David McFadgen is headed to his first NCAA
Championships. He will be attempting to do what his father did many
times over -- become an All-American.
